Combined bus-bus or train-bus journey from Malaga Airport to Mijas Pueblo
What can be done is a combined journey with a transfer either by bus or by train and bus. Line 112 of the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Malaga Area (CTMAM), which runs from the bus station in the city of Malaga to Mijas Pueblo, has a stop very close to the airport, but unfortunately, it is not within walking distance from the airport itself. Line 112 travels through several towns such as Torremolinos and Benalmádena before reaching Mijas Pueblo. In that case, you just need to take a bus or train that goes to any of those towns and shares a stop with Line 112. By rental car
1.Exit the airport and follow the signs towards the A-7 highway (Autovía del Mediterráneo) heading east.
2.Merge onto the A-7 highway and continue driving for approximately 15 kilometers.
3.Take the exit towards Fuengirola (A-7 / AP-7). This will lead you onto a ramp.
4.Merge onto the AP-7 toll road (Autopista del Sol) towards Fuengirola/Algeciras.
5.Continue on the AP-7 toll road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the exit for Mijas Pueblo.
6.Take the exit for Mijas Pueblo and follow the signs that indicate “Mijas Pueblo” or “Centro Histórico.”
7.The road will wind uphill as you approach Mijas Pueblo. Follow the road until you reach the town center.
8.Once you arrive in Mijas Pueblo, you can find parking options available, such as public parking lots or street parking.
